Never-Before-Seen Color Production Slides from Star Wars (Lucasfilm / ILM)


These ILM slides are great and the images are huge! Wish we could get all 550 slides scanned ha ha

A Large Collection of Never-Before-Seen Color Production Slides from "Star Wars" and "The Empire Strikes Back." 20th Century Fox, 1977, 1980. Approximately 550, all housed in a black binder, all with various stamps and dates and photo credits such as "Photo By: / Joe Viskocil" on the cardboard frames, depicting dozens of great behind-the-scenes shots of the two now classic films being made, emphasis is on both the outdoor and indoor sets as well as on the various spaceships, a few of the characters (like "R2D2"), and the production crew -- really compelling and detailed images that must be seen in person to appreciate the scope!
Each Slide: 1" x 1 1/2"; In Cardboard Frame: 2" x 2" Estimate: $1,800 - up.

Model Maker Forum ILM Panel - Watch It Live! Feb 9th


















'A Model Maker Forum will be held at 1:00 pm. It will be a panel of Industrial Light and Magic veterans who have worked on many famous movies. Members of the panel will discuss behind the scenes stories, design inspirations, and most importantly model making techniques. Don Bies, owner of White Room Artifacts (www.whiteroomartifacts.com) will conduct the panel which will include some of the most respected names in the model movie business including Lorne Peterson, Larry Tan, Nelson Hall, John Goodson, and Kim Smith. More panelists will be added as the date gets closer. After a 30-40 minute discussion, the panel will be opened to questions from the audience.' via IPMS SANTA ROSA

'Classic Creatures' Return of the Jedi (1983)



This 1983 PBS behind the scenes look at the creatures of 'Return of the Jedi' is an awesome glimpse into the ILM model shop during it's prime. There's lots of footage of work in progress puppets and stop-motion rigs from the film.
